Project description

In the course of 2017, plans were made to plant one million trees in the Jalihal region.

The first step was to conduct a pilot to determine whether such a large-scale project would have a chance of success. The cooperation contract for this was signed in December 2017. Project owner Yerala Projects Society (YPS) then set to work enthusiastically and energetically.
The pilot project started on January 1, 2018 and ended on March 31, 2019.

After that, a full project year was carried out in both 2019 and 2020.

At the start of the 3rd project year on April 1, 2021, more than 400,000 trees had been planted.

The current project plan (2022) can be found here. The document is in Dutch.
